The following are five secret to making friends, how to choose your friends wisely, or how to surround yourself with wise friends. Read them and be blessed as you apply them to your life;
1. To choose your friends wisely, know who you are:
There is a saying that birds of the same feathers flock together, you must know your feathers to determine which other birds you can flock with.
2. Get to know people well:
Don’t be friends with strangers. You must know people well and be sure that they share your feathers before you choose them as friends. The days are dangerous and you must walk with wisdom.
3. Choose people who share in your vision and direction:
Not all those who share your nature are going in your direction. Choose people who value what you value and are heading where you are going. This is an important secret.
4. Choose people who are willing to both give and take advice, rebuke, and correction:
Friends are meant to be there to support each other. We must be willing to give and take. Peter was a good friend so he took rebuke graciously from Jesus and lived, but Judas did not and he died.
5. Choose people who share or complement your direction and grace:
Choose friends who have what will compliment you, not compete with you. You friends must supply what you lack and also you supply what they lack. Friends must reinforce each other. May the Lord guide you to choose your friends intelligently.

Prayer
Oh God! Help me to choose as my friends people who share in my vision and dreams, and are heading in the direction I am going. Give me the strength and courage to cut off anybody who is fighting my progress, Amen!
