[1 Timothy 2:9-15 KJV] “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. [11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. [15] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety”.
I want to exhort you on three simple things that can increase your value as a woman and get you treated well. These are the three things that the young Christian must seek to develop.
If the will of God to save all men shall be fulfilled, women should;
1. Dress with modesty, shamefacedness and sobriety;
Women must dress with modesty, shamefacedness, and sobriety. Sometimes, when women are buying clothes, they don’t think well. Many choose clothes with the hope of turning heads and causing a stir, and that is foolishness and crazy thinking. How women dress matters a lot; we must dress with modesty. The ornaments of a Christian woman are good works and a quiet spirit (See 1 Peter 3).
2. Be teachable; learn in silence, not usurping authority;
Women must learn in silence; no matter what you think you know, be submitted to the head set over you. Be submitted to the man who has authority over you. The human race is failing because Eve was not submitted to Adam.
3. Follow good works, continue in faith, charity and holiness with sobriety:
We must learn to continue in faith, charity, and holiness with sobriety. We must keep pressing until the generations are won.
These are the little things that increase your value as a woman. These are things that will make any woman anywhere appreciate in value and be treated with dignity. Be modest in apparel, be teachable, and continue in faith, love and holiness with sobriety.
Be blessed, I love you
