The Bible teaches that there are 5 basic needs and 2 major sources to fulfill those needs. The five basic needs of humans are Food, Shelter, Companionship, Success at work, and Recognition. These are the five basic as expounded in Ecclesiastes 9.
[Matthew 6:31-34 KJV] “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
The Bible teaches us that there is more hope for a living dog than a dead lion, so in whatever life offers us, we should all try and eat our bread with joy and drink our wine with a merry heart.
Wear your clothes with style and glit; live joyfully with your spouse and do what your hands have found to do with all your might. The Bible exhorts us to be socially responsible even if people will not recognise and acknowledge our contribution.
It is important to inform you that there are two major sources of what it takes to live and fulfil these needs: God and mammon. There is no way you can meet these needs except you submit and serve one of these masters. You must either serve God or mammon. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:12 that the fear of God is a defense, and money is also a defense. But the excellency of the fear of the Lord is that He gives life to them that have Him.
The Bible teaches that God adds all these things to them that seek first His sovereign will and fulfill it by faith; but on the contrary, those who serve mammon fall into divers temptations and hurtful lust (See 1 Timothy 6:9-10)
The Bible teaches that if you want to improve your emotional health, then seek first the sovereign will of God and how to fulfill it by faith. This is the secret to sweatless prosperity. The Bible says when we seek first the kingdom and the righteousness of God; all these things shall be added unto us.
We understand from the teaching that the five (5) simple ways to seek the kingdom and righteousness of God are through Prayer, Bible study, listening to music, the ministry of teachers and mentors, and repentance. This is how you find the kingdom. We must pray, study the word, listen to music, study at the feet of teachers, and renew our minds by the truth. This is how you find the kingdom.
We went further to establish the five channels of blessings: falling from heaven like manna fell, through people, through our planting and cultivation and work, by inheritance, by discovering, and by marriage. There are many ways that God blesses us but these are a few.
I want to teach you how to walk into abundant wealth practically:
- Do whatever your hands have found to do, diligently
- Keep your books well
- Pay taxes, save and tithe
- Live below your means
- Plough back or invest your surplus
- Be socially responsible
- Sleep smarter everynight (Appraise, read, and pray everynight)
