[Philippians 3:13-14 KJV] “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”.
I have learned one simple lesson in life in my walk as a pastor and as a believer; that people come and go. Some may stay but they change with changing circumstances and situations. When things get better, people change, when things get worse, people change. There is only one person that matters in the equation, that is you. You must determine to keep running and running your race as is set before you till you are through to the end.
Four simple keys that will keep the Pentecost fire burning in you are:
Keep seeing visions:
Spend time daily in your morning or night watch at the tower. Don’t let a day go by without spending time to see something in the realm of the spiritual that sheds light on your journey and path. In Habakkuk 2:1-4, the prophet said I will stand upon my watch and see what I will answer when I am questioned. You must spend time daily upon your tower to see visions. Visions of tomorrow and visions of heaven.
You will become weary in your mind if you don’t keep looking at Jesus Christ. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Lift up your eyes and keep looking.
Reach for the heights:
Don’t settle for less, go for gold. You can make it, reach out and stretch out. You can attempt great things for God. You are a giant killer, don’t die a dwarf. You can reach forth to the mark.
Overcome obstacle:
It is not strange to face obstacles and problems in your path but overcome them. You are not out here just to defend your grounds, you are here to fight for your place. So don’t give up and give in too quickly, arise and let us fight.
Press on:
Press on, don’t relent. You must press on. Keep going even if the going becomes tough. You can make it. Press on and keep going. That is how you keep the fire burning.
True, we have not arrived, we are not where we want to be but we are obviously not where we used to be. You can make it if you press hard in saving yourself from this untoward generation, reaching the lost, reaching the brethren, and reaching others, finding meeting places and holding meetings, we can make it if we decide to forsake the world and press into the kingdom.
Stay blessed; I love you!
