[Jude 1:17-23 KJV] “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts”
“These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
“And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh”
In the text above, Apostle Jude is teaching and warning us that the last days are here with us, and if you can make a difference, you ought to;
1. Remember what the apostles taught us about the nature of the people in these last days:
The people of today pursue ungodly lust. They are selfish (narcissist and individualistic), sensual, and carnal. It will be difficult to make a difference when you don’t know who you are trying to reach.
2. Build up yourselves on your most holy faith:
You will be saved and safe if you keep in mind the gospel that was preached to you. You must remember the gospel and teaching (1 Corinthians 15:1-2), and build up yourselves on your most holy faith.
We must strive to build up ourselves on that teaching we believed; we must be entrenched, brainwashed, indoctrinated, and deeply rooted in it to make a difference. If you lack root, the heat and winds will easily push you down.
3. Pray in the Holy Ghost:
He that prays in an unknown tongue edifies himself; makes himself strong.
4. Keep yourselves in the love of God:
Keep yourself in the love of God and look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life
5. Be a soulwinner:
“On some have compassion and others save with fear, pulling them out of fire; hating the garments stain by the flesh.” Remember that while you are trying to win some to Christ, they are also trying to stain your garments.
It is not possible to save someone from the mud without staining your white garment, but you must hate the stained garments!
These are the simple tips to make a difference in this last days. In conclusion, God wants us to first save ourselves and then secondly save others. The weak can not save another, you must be strong!
