Listen! We are a people called to preserve this generation from decadence. The word teaches that we are the “salt of the earth;” a people called to preserve the world from decadence. We should be up and doing to make our impact felt or else the world will take us for granted.
[Matthew 5:13-16 KJV] “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven“.
The text above can be re-read to mean, “you are the salt of the earth; so let your light shine, so that men will see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” The church, and for that matter you, are the salt of the earth. We are called to preserve the earth from sinking into decadence. We are called to keep the earth from sinking in rot. We have a responsibility to let our light shine. We must do the best we know and never allow the world lack example.
There are three things we should crave, pray and plan for:
Crave, pray, and plan to be ignited by Spirit and truth, by wisdom and power, and by water and by spirit.
Crave, pray, and plan to be positioned strategically in the house. We must believe God to position faithful believers and brethren in key positions where they can make a difference.
Crave, pray, and plan to burn, to sacrifice, and give yourself to make a difference in the lives of others.
I have no doubt that the time has come for the church to ascend and possess the mountains of life. We cannot sit back and allow the strange women described in Revelation 17 to ride on the backs of kings. We must arise and go in and fight to possess the mountains. Moving in to possess the mountains will not happen in a vacuum.
We must be ignited, as I have said before. There must be an awakening in your spirit by the Spirit and by truth. The Bible tells us that when we awake, “Christ Jesus who is both the wisdom and power of God will give us light.” We know that except a man is born of water and of spirit, he can neither see nor enter into the kingdom. I pray and I want you to join me in prayer for awakening. Many of us are too asleep. I pray that the Holy Spirit will send us a revival. Many of the brethren are still in a slumber, but we cannot possess the mountains and preserve the earth when we lack the Holy Fire and passion of God.
The second truth is that we must desire, pray and plan to be strategically positioned. Inasmuch as it is true that you do not need to be at the Jubilee House (the seat of Government in Ghana) to make a change in society, if the men and women who have access to the Jubilee House are awakened by wisdom and power from God, greater things will happen. In any case, before you access the throne, can you start from where you are. You must aspire for strategic places even in your little corner.
When God puts you there, remember for what purpose. When you find that job, remember the purpose. When you find that man or woman, remember the purpose. The world is dying and getting lost because brethren who access strategic places forget why God put them there. Many of the times, when brethren walk into the corridors of power they compromise on their convictions instead of making a difference. The Christian brother who accesses the deputy director position may end up joining the drinking spree, rather than to show forth the light.
I desire, I decree and declare that God shall awaken, position, and help us to make a difference. I have no doubt that each of us is loaded with virtue, power, unction, and wisdom to make a difference.
You will make a difference and be significant. You are the people of God called by purpose and cannot fail.
Be blessed, I love you
