The Bible teaches that the end of a man or woman who walks with God in integrity shall greatly increase, although his beginning may be small. God has not called us to shame but rather to honour and dignity. Your beginning may be small but your end should greatly increase; how can you walk into this reality.
[Job 8:7 KJV] “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”
I want to share five simple secrets with you.
[Acts 2:41-47 KJV] “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. [42] And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
[43] “And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. [44] And all that believed were together, and had all things common; [45] And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
[46] “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, [47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
This message will be an exhortation on five things that will give you a great ending. In fact, today, we are studying how to change your life for the better. We want to escape the pitfalls that stop many people. So, if you want your end to greatly increase, pay attention to;
1. Your doctrine:
Your doctrine is what you know, what you are learning, and what you do with it. These are the things that will determine how your life turns out. Sometimes, there are things you need to unlearn, things you need to learn, and things you need to start re-learning.
Many of us came to the faith with baggage of worldly junk, these are things we must unlearn. Israel left Egypt but Egypt did not leave Israel. They came out of the land but the craving and taste of Egypt’s garlic, onions, cucumber, and carrots were still in them. They had left Egypt but still had the cravings of Egypt. Many people are failing because they have left the world alright, but the world is still inside them.
If you really want to advance to greatness, you must unlearn, learn, and relearn many things.
2. Your Fellowship;
The second thing your need in order to transform your faith is fellowship. Who you hang around and play with will determine the outcome of your life. Evil communication corrupts good manners; your friends and those you hang out with will make or unmake you. Be reminded that you may not mean evil but a barrel of soup cannot make a cup of poison soupy, but a cup of poison can make a barrel of soup poisonous. Beware!
3. Your prayer:
Your prayer can make or unmake you. Your consistent asking, knocking, and seeking will transform your life. Prayer unleashes power and freshness into your life. Those who pray achieve more and advance faster through power, revelation, and grace.
4. Your occupation:
Life is short, and whatever occupies you will determine your reach. You will not go far if you stay idle. In Acts 4, even though the church prayed and great grace and boldness was given to the apostles, the gospel advanced because the believers gave their substance to the work of missions and charity. I pray that your career shall advance and your business shall do well.
5. Your liberality:
Your willings and faithfully in giving to missions and charity will determine how far you can go. “A liberal soul shall be made fat”. The bible says “he that waters shall himself be watered”. A liberal soul shall be made fat.
