[Hebrews 12:1-3 KJV] “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;”
“who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
I feel led by the Holy Spirit to lead you to intercede for four categories of people:
- Those under strange attacks from the gates of Hell. Job came under strange attacks suddenly, and its effects were devastating
- Those pressed beyond measure. Apostle Paul and his team were so pressed that they even despaired of life.
- Those enduring the contradiction of sinners against them. Our Lord Jesus had to endure the contraction of sinners. This is the situation when those who have not even served God like you seem to be excelling, and they question your faith in God.
- Those whose strength has decayed though there is so much work still to be done. The men of Judah in the days of Nehemiah felt their strength decaying. I pray that you shall see a resurrection today in the name of Jesus Christ.
There is nothing as frustrating as unanswered prayer, unfruitful Christian life; doing so much but having very little to show. To have toiled all night and caught nothing, and enduring the contradiction of sinners against you. To see the wicked prosper in their schemes yet nothing seem to be going for you.
Undoubted many are depressed, frustrated, and broken because of some of these things. It looks like everything is against them and they are struggling, but it is important to understand that the devil has an agenda. When so much rises against you, remember the devil has an agenda. His agenda is to make your faith fail, he wants you to cast away your confidence, and he wants to introduce the spirit of fear. The enemy always has an agenda. He wants to steal, kill and destroy your faith, your strength, and your confidence.
Remember to:
- Strip down
- Start running and never quit
- Look unto Jesus as your great example: don’t sin with your mouth, don’t change what you believe, and remain resolute in prayer
Prophetic prayers
- Pray for families and individuals who have come under strange attacks from the enemy lately. Pray that the Lord will rise to their defence!
- Pray for families and brethren who are going through depressing and frustrating situations; pray that God will be their strength and comfort!
- Pray for families and individuals who are experiencing the contradiction of sinners. Everyone is asking “where is their God?” May heaven show up for them! May God manifest good unto them!
- Pray for families and individuals who feel that their strength is decaying. Pray for brethren who are feeling like giving up! Pray that the Lord would increase their strength.
Stay blessed
