[Romans 4:16-25 KJV] “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, [17] (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. [18] Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. [19] And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. [22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. [23] Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; [24] But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; [25] Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification”.
Righteousness is of faith, that it might be by grace. It is imputed to those who believe on He that raised Christ from the dead. In much the same way that the dead Christ did nothing to contribute to His ressurrection, we do nothing to have righteousness imputed to us.
The Bible tells us that when it was told Abraham that he shall be the father of all nations, he did the following things;
He believed on He who spoke:
Even God who calls the things that be not as though they were. Which means that at the time they told Abraham that he shall be the father of many nations, there was no sign that it shall come to pass. Hallelujah! Nothing may show that the word spoken over your life will come to pass, but you can learn from the faith of Abraham and believe God. He calls the things that be not as though they were; you will surely be well, you shall be delivered, you will prosper, you will be the mother of many children of your own. God will fulfill His word!
He was not weak in faith nor did he consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
Listen! Don’t be weak in faith! Don’t let the adverse evidence and situation weaken your faith. Abraham was not weak in faith, he did not allow the doctor’s report to scare him. Though he was well advanced in age and his wife was old, he was not weak in faith. Be bold and be strong in faith. Don’t allow the doctor’s report weaken your faith.
Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief:
The man of God remianed resolute. He staggered not at the promise. We must remain resolute and stagger not at the promise. He has promised divine health, and eternal life, and safety, and prosperity. Stagger not at the promise through unbelief. Rather, being strong in faith, he gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that He is able.
It is of faith that it might be by grace. You will be justified to inherit the promise – every promise. Hold on, because change is coming! Hold on, because God will show up! Hold on, because your baby is on the way! Hold on, for your healing is here! He staggered not; you shall stagger not!
Be blessed, I love you!
