[Proverbs 25:9-13 KJV] “Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself ; and discover not a secret to another: [10] Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away. [11] A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. [12] As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear. [13] As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.”
We are living in very uncertain and anxious times. If there is any time that we must be careful about what we say, it is now. What you say matters a lot, saying the right things helps to heal the world. People are already going through so much, let each of us be sensitive with the words we speak.
The Bible says a word fitly spoken is like gold apples in a picture of silver. Your words must be carefully selected and spoken to minister nothing but faith, hope and love. Don’t spread fear, anxiety or hate! Spread faith, hope, and love; that is all we have left
[1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV] “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
The Bible tells us that “a wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness thereof is a breach in spirit”. Your words can heal and help the world, just as it could hurt or maim the world. Your words can urge us to press on or maim us from moving. This is the day when your works must inspire men to act and attain their highest good. May the Lord give you the tongue of the learned to speak a word in season to those who are weary.
I am not in any way suggesting that you speak high and inflated words. I am talking about spending time with God to hear His counsel and speaking it to uplift His people. Deuteronomy 18:18-20 teaches that the Lord shall raise from among us prophets who shall speak His word, but that man must neither speak with presumption or in the name of another God.
Deuteronomy 18:18-20 KJV] “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. [19] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. [20] But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die”.
I pray that the Lord shall inspire your tongue to speak a kind word today that projects faith, hope and love. Don’t spread fear, anxiety, or hate. Spread faith, hope and love.
Be blessed, I love you!
