I want to exhort you on the need to keep your heart with all diligence because out of it flows all the issues of life.
[Proverbs 4:23 KJV] “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”.
The heart is the nerve centre of the human life and if you allow evil strongholds to form there, the devil will control and wreck your life.
Pay attention to what and where you learn; your education, and experiences, and exposure have a way of influencing what crystallised and consolidate in your heart. Let us be careful what we allow to crystallize in our lives. Keep your heart with all diligence.
Many of the times people wonder how they turned out to be what they are. People wonder why life has become what it is. Many of us don’t realise that life has become what it is because they allowed the education, experience, and exposure excited, tickled, wounded, hurt, disappoint, and offend us to form the foundations of our beliefs rather than the word of God. This is how we began to drift from God and sanity. We allowed the wounds or excitement or pleasure to define our beliefs and faith.
Then the devil begins to build little by little on this faulty foundation a wall of lies, a shelter of unbelief, a fortress of hollow philosophies and heresies.
Lies, unbelief and cynicism and hollow philosophies metamorphose into prideful thoughts and stout words against God and the church. This then translates into distorted perceptions about life and God.
I pray that you shall guard your heart against anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, sin, lust, malice, anxiety, jealousy, competitiveness, love of self, love of the world, love of money, etc. These are effective traps of darkness. May the Lord help and keep us from these. Let go of the hurts, the bitterness, the pain, the disappointment, and the secret pleasures. Let the Lord have a place in your heart. Learn to love the Lord.
