[Matthew 5:13-16 KJV] “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world.”
“A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.“
If you don’t want to wither and burn out in an attempt to fulfill your ministry, then catch the fire, stay connected, and let your light shine.
Focus on what you can do to make a difference for somone; while you bear fruits and stay connected, the garden will purge you to bear more fruit.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”
“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;”
“and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15:1-7 KJV)
Start with what you can do; just step out with your little might and the gardener will remove the things that fight your fruitfulness. You don’t need to do much; all you have to do is start with what you have have, and with those who are with you. Forget the things which are behind, press on towards the goal, and you may reach the goal. Just keep stepping forward and keep pushing!
Listen! If the devil wants to steal, kill, and destroy you; he moves you to dissociate. He must succeed in separating you before he is able to destroy you. Determine to stay connect and do the little good you can. As you focus in doing good, he will give you grace to do more.
Colossians teaches us to;
- Set your heart and minds on things above
- Mortify your members upon the earth
- Put off the old man
- Lie not one to another
- Put on the new man
Stay blessed
