The Bible tells us that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, that is to say, that no matter what life you live now, there is still a better way to live; you have the potential to live a better life. Many of us are satisfied with how we live because very often, we compare ourselves to others instead of comparing with the standard, which is the glory of God.
[Romans 3:23-26 KJV] “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus”.
Our standard for living is the glory of God. We were created in the image and the likeness of God to manifest His glory and walk in His authority. The standard for living is the glory of God, not how much money you have made or inherited; not what car you drive, or house you live in. You may be driving the best car or living among the elite but until your life literally reflects the glory of God, you are living a sub-standard life.
The truth and good news, however, remains that God, the loving, caring and gracious God has made plans to help you live your best life not only in this world but in the one to come. He has set forth Jesus Christ, His Son to be a propitiation for ur sins through His blood. Your sins, and errors, and mistakes can be pardoned and atoned for by simply believing in the blood of Jesus Christ.
The simple steps to living your best life now are as follows;
Believe:
Believe me that you can do better than you are doing now:
Your faith in Jesus Christ will open unto you a door of opportunity to do better. If you are a good engineer, your faith in Christ will only make you a better engineer. The Bible says the path of the just shines more or more unto a perfect day. You will do better when you put your faith in Jesus Christ.
Connect:
Connect with the body:
The second step to living your best life is to connect with the body of Christ through baptism and formalities. You must be added to the community of believers who will help you to grow in the Lord and in the things of the Lord.
Continue:
Continue steadfastly in doctrine and fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer:
This is the third secret to living your best life now. It will take constant steps in the doctrine, fellowship with the church, breaking of bread, and prayers. These are the elements of worship that feed our spirit to stand, and stand tall even during the storms of life.
Network:
Network with people who call on God out of a pure heart:
It is one thing to connect with a church and a caravan, but it’s another level to be networked with the members of the community you have connected. You could live in a hood but be networked with people of a different community. Networking with the right kind of people is one of the things that will help you to live your best life. Your network will determine net worth.
Work;
Work to earn a giving:
The Bible tells us in Acts 2:42-47, that the people did not just believe and were added, but continued together and raised money and gave to the mission and to meet needs. Honoring the Lord with your substance is one of the things that is needed to guarantee the fulfillment of our mission. (See Ephesians 5:18-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:11 onwards).
Share:
Each of us must share our testimony, faith, resources, and the gospel. We must be committed to sharing the stories of faith; The stories of men and women who did not put limits on God. We must tell these stories, keep it simple, and keep it real. Your testimony and faith and the gospel will save others. God saves the world through the foolishness of preaching.
Serve:
It is to this end that we are gifted. He that ascended is the same that descended and gave gifts unto men. To some of us, He gave the gift of an apostle to pioneer the church, but to others, He gave the gift of an evangelist to fill the church we have started; to some of you, God gave the gift of a prophet to inspire the church. Yet to my more He gave the gift of shepherding and teaching to stabilize the church. Every one of us has an appropriate gift to contribute to the growth and edification of the body.
To live your best life you must believe, connect, continue, network, give, share, and serve. You must be committed to serve with your time, resources, talents, and gifts. This is how you live your best life now and in the time to come.
Be blessed; I love you!

I have hardly heard Pastor teach on the faith without always hammering point 3; “continue steadfastly”- and it has proven true for me . God bless you for the reminder
