[Psalm 121:1-8 KJV] “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep”
“The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore.“
In the coming days the most sensible thing to do is to look to God. There is no other counsel better than this. Look to God; your help comes from Him. Your help in marriage, ministry, life, and in business comes from the Lord. I want you to trust the Lord with all of your heart and mind. Trust Him! Lift up your eyes to the hill, that is where your help comes from.
There is no better way to survive everything than to look to Him for help. Men will fail you but God won’t. The Lord is your keeper and your shade. He is! Be rest assured!
How can you look to the Lord?
1. Be intentional about it and be rest assured that the Lord is your keeper and your shade:
Make the Lord your keeper and shade. He will not suffer your foot to be moved, and neither the sun nor the moon shall smite you; not by day nor by night. The Lord shall preserve you from evil, He shall preserve your soul; He will preserve your going out and your coming in. Be rest assured, the Lord is your keeper and shade.
2. Don’t miss your quiet times:
These are the special times when God gets to speak and direct and anoint you. These are the moments to recieve grace for life. “Is any afflicted, let him pray!” Quiet times are important times. Looking up to God requires spending these important times with Him.
3. Trust God and be patient; trust Him absolutely:
The Bible says God will never leave nor forsake us. He is faithful and able. He has promised and He will never fail. His faithfulness is forevermore.
4. Do what you have to do and can do; don’t hold on tightly to anything, don’t be rushed!
Be yielded to God; cast all your cares upon Him and He will honour your faith. Stay blessed.
Prayer target
- Thank God for a beautiful day. Bless Him for grace to CrossOver into 2023. Bless Him for safe passage and deliverance from evil.
- Ask God to be your helper in all that you do all year round. May He send help from Zion.
- Pray that the sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. Pray that God will preserve you from evil and preserve your soul. Pray that God will deliver you and preserve your going out and coming in.
- Pray that the Lord will establish you. May He not suffer your foot to be moved. May God establish you firmly in all that you do. You will not be moved.
- Pray that the Lord will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Pray!
