I want to exhort you on the need to eat healthily. The truth is, we eat to live and not to die. What you eat, therefore, must keep you alive.
[Psalms 104:15 KJV] “And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart”
Yesterday, I did a teaching on living healthily. I hope you refer again to it. In that teaching, I taught that the third secret to living is eating healthy. We established that the fork and knife have sent more people to an early grave than the gun.
It is always important to understand that “man shall not live by bread alone; but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God”. You will live longer and healthier if you learn to live by the good word and by good bread. The word of God is “health to the bone and marrow of those who find it”.
Today, we want to study food in a more classic detail than merely knowing that we eat to live. There are three very important things that a man may eat to stay alive; physical bread, the word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and our assignment.
[Matthew 4:4 KJV] “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”.
Bread is, therefore, our necessary food. Bread is what we need to stay alive and to be able to carry on. Every man must eat to live. We need it but beyond bread, there are other things that a man must live on as though it were his bread, and one such thing is the word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
The word:
This word is bread indeed. Both Ezekiel and John taught that the word of God is bread and can be eaten.
The flesh of Christ:
The next meal that is necessary for health and life is the Communion Table. This is the body of Christ that was broken for us.
The work of the One who sent you:
The third type of bread that you need in order to stay alive is your assignments. The Lord said, “my meat is to do the work of He that sent me and to finish it.”
Stay blessed, I love you!
