There are many prophecies concerning the end times in the scriptures. The Bible teaches about the end times but beyond that, the scriptures also teach how you can safely navigate these dangerous waters by faith.
The Bible prophecies were not written for us to freeze with fear; they were written to make us wise and bold to face the world from the point of victory.
For example the Bible teaches that
In the last days the church shall be visible and many shall flow into her to be taught the ways of God. The church should therefore remember that the people came to be taught; we must focus on teaching the attendees.
Isaiah 2:1-4 KJV (Read also Micah 4) — “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. [2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.”
[3] “And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.“
It is important to note while many are flowing into the church to be taught; some shall also rebel and create their own idols. I see the church becoming influential and many people flowing into it. In this the church shall both grow and be influential. The church would at the same time have to deal with people rebelling against the truth, and serving gods they have created.
We also know that in the end-times, there shall be troubles, persecutions, and iniquity shall abound; BUT the church must not relent in the preaching of the gospel.
The Lord taught that in the last days, there shall be troubles, persecution, iniquity shall abound and the love of many will wax cold; many will act fed-up with faith and religion. Their love for God and people will wax cold, many shall be unwilling to love God and love people as the scriptures have commanded because of what they will suffer at the hands of people; BUT the Lord further instructed that the church must not relent in preaching the gospel to the nations.
The church must hit the street and preach the gospel to the nations. They may not listen nor obey the gospel; but the church must preach anyway for a witness.
Matthew 24:9-18 KJV — “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
[12] “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
[15] “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [16] then let them which be in Judæa flee into the mountains: [17] let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house: [18] neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.“
The Lord in the context above is guiding our hearts to understand that those who endure to the end shall be saved. I pray that we will resolve to endure to the end.
This chapter of the Bible is a revelation for the church. This tells us what people and the church will suffer; and what our reaction or response must be. Though iniquity shall abound, the Lord is calling the church back to loyalty and faithfulness, and relentless preaching of the gospel.
The Bible also teaches that in the last days, God shall pour out His Spirit and great grace upon all flesh. The church must be obsessed with the anointing and greater graces.
The last days are the days of the Spirit, anointing, grace, and mighty works. The body of Christ must arise to pursue the Spirit and mighty works.
Romans 5:20-21 KJV — “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: [21] that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.“
Acts 2:14-18 KJV — “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: [15] For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. [16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;”
[17] “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: [18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:“
The Bible teaches that in the last days perilous times shall come because men will change… BUT the church must continue in the things we have learnt, knowing that they are true
So many things will happen to try to derail you from your faith. So many things will happen to try to frustrate you; but be loyal and continue in the things you have learnt.
2 Timothy 3:1-2 KJV — “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy…”
[14] “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; [15] and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
[16] “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.“
The very nature of the last days require that the church shall watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, and make a full proof of her ministry.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV — “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; [2] preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
[3] “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; [4] and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. [5] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.“
Stay blessed!
