[et_pb_section][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]Nobody celebrates mediocrity; so let us build to reflect strength, status, and
wealth. People naturally aggravate towards excellence, beauty, and glam. It is important to announce to you that, people escaping a devil who roars as a lion will not follow a shepherd who bleats like a sheep. You will succeed in minstry when you are in command. You must carry a rod to ward off wolves, and a staff to guide the sheep. You will not be in command if you are bowed down. This is the time to stand up with a rod and a staff.
It is written in 1 Samuel 16:1-13 that,
“men look at outward appearance but God looks at the heart”. Has it however occured to you that even God who looks at the heart never chose an ugly shabby person for a king in Israel? King Saul was good looking; David was “
ruddy, withal beautiful, and goodly to look upon”; surely Solomon was good looking, wise and wealthy. The kings did not just have a good heart, but also good looks, and anionted to rule. A church may have a good
pastor, good message, good spirit but must also have good looks, reflect strength, status and wealth to grow without tears.
I understand from 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, that even the
Holy Ghost will not dwell in defiled temples. God destroys those who defile His temple.
In Malachi 3:1-4, we learn that “
the Lord and His messenger shall sit as a refiner and purge the sons of Levi with the refiner’s fire and a fuller’s soap; that they might offer the sacrifice in righteousness”. God will not use a defiled vessel. In 2 Timothy 2:2, and verses 20-21, we know that God wants us to commit the
truth to
faithful men who can teach it to other faithful men; but God can not use a faithful man for every good work, unless that man has purged himself from pollutions.
That is why in Matthew 3:12, God sent His messenger carrying in his hand a fan to purge the threshing floor.
No man celebrates mediocrity, even the Queen of Sheeba who came from the east to see the
wisdom and fame of Solomon did not celebrate the king just because she saw his wisdom. The
Bible tells in 1 Kings 10:1-13 that there was no more spirit in her when she saw;
- The wisdom of solomon
- The house he has built
- The meat of his table
- The sitting of his servant
- The attendance or service of his minsters and
- The ascent by which he went up to the house of the Lord.
God looks at the heart but men look on the outward. You better make the package good, while preparing the content. Men will always aggravate towards strength, status, and wealth.
Be blessed!
