What more is there now that you are saved? Now that you are free from sin and death; what more is there to be done? What are the necessary steps to take to win the battle for your soul?
[Acts 2:41-47 KJV] “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
“And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Concerning the wisdom of Solomon in Ecclesiastes 9, I believe there are simple things you can do daily from now on that will cause you to win in the battle to save yourself.
- Be content and thankful with such as you have now!
- Eat your bread and drink your wine with joy and a merry heart.
- Keep your clothes clean and your hair well-groomed with ointment.
- Live joyfully with your wife if you happen to be married.
- Do what your hands have found to do with all of your might.
- Be socially responsible and help who you can, but make money because the poor man’s wisdom is despised.
- Honour the assembling of ourselves together to fellowship, pray, sing, study, and give.
- Try your best to Re-present Christ wherever you go.
Remember, that now that you’re born again, life cannot continue as usual. There is a new life in Christ and we must live up to expectation.
Remember also that if Jesus does not return tomorrow, there will be bills to pay; let’s work!
Remember that although all things are lawful; all things are neither expedient nor wise nor must you be brought under the power of anything!
Remember to read and keep Ephesians 4. This is key to show you practically how you can live your life as a child of God.
Stay blessed
