[Psalm 55:16-18 KJV] “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. [17] Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. [18] He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me”.

We know according to Ecclesiates 12 that, the whole duty of man is to fear the Lord and keep His commandments.

[Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV] “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man”.

We must be committed to serve the Lord with passion and whole heartedly. Indeed, if you can give yourself wholly to serving the Lord, then you must plan your Quiet Times.

One of the most precious hours in a man’s life are those moments spent alone with God. Whether in the morning, at noon, or in the evening; time alone with God are precious moments. It is therefore important to plan those moments for maximum benefits. You must plan your Quiet Time to help you enjoy the moments with God.

Remember that the whole Bible is written to teach you how to draw closer in your relationship with God. All we need is just a closer walk with God.

1. Start with singing:

The Bible tells us in psalm 100 to come before the Lord with singing.

[Psalm 100:2 KJV] “Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing”.

Remember to start your Quiet Times with singing.

2. Confess your sins and ask for forgiveness:

The Bible says, if you consider iniquity in your heart, the Lord will not hear you. When we learn to confess our sins, then will we have pardon and peace with God.

[1 John 1:8‭-‬10 KJV]   “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9]   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10]   If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”.

3. Pause to read the devotional, listen, and think:

The Bible says that, “he that turns his ear from the hearing of the law, even his prayer is an abomination to the Lord”. Reading and listening for the Master’s voice is a secret to answered prayer.

[Proverbs 28:9 KJV]  “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination”.

4. Ask and make your requests know to God:

The Bible says that, “we do not recieve because we don’t ask”. You must ask, if you want to recieve. You ask to recieve.

[James 4:3 KJV]  “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts”.

5. Thank God for everything:

The Bible says that, “in all things,  give thanks to the Lord, for this is the will of God”. The giving of thanks is an integral part of waiting on God.

[1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV]  “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”.

6. Declare the truth of Scripture:

The Bible says that,  “He that loves life and shall see good days must refrain his tongue from speaking guile“.

[Isaiah 43:26 KJV] “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified”.

These are the simple secrets to waiting on God. It could be for 12 minutes or 24 minutes, or 36 minutes or 48 minutes or 60 minutes; by simply spending 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 minutes on each item.

You will never regret spending time with God. You shall be delivered and rescued. Be blessed.

I love you;

Noah Simpe Bediako
