The early church did not settle for ordinary gatherings, their united prayer produced a shaking, a fresh filling of the Holy Ghost, and bold proclamation of the Word. The supernatural was their normal. This month, pray that HighCity Church would return to this pattern: a people so given to united prayer that our meeting places are shaken, and boldness replaces timidity in our witness.
It is worth noticing what happened immediately after this praying company asked God for boldness in the face of persecution: the place was shaken, they were filled afresh with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the Word with boldness. This was not an isolated event reserved for the apostolic age; it is a pattern available to any praying, united company of believers who dare to ask God for the same.
This month, pray earnestly that HighCity Church would walk more fully in the supernatural, not sensationalism, but genuine manifestations of God’s power: healings that cannot be explained away, deliverances that break generational chains, prophetic words that bring clarity and direction, and boldness that causes believers to speak the gospel fearlessly regardless of opposition or ridicule.
The supernatural is not reserved for a select few; it is the inheritance of every Spirit-filled believer united in prayer. Examine whether fear, tradition, or unbelief has quietly reduced our gatherings to mere routine, and ask God to shake us out of complacency the way that upper room was literally shaken.
Pray for a return to united, fervent, expectant prayer as a church family, believing that the same God who answered that early gathering is ready to answer HighCity Church with fresh boldness and supernatural demonstration this very month.
