There is a time appointed for every vision but sometimes the vision seems to delay unduly because certain factors and things that go wrong.
[Habakkuk 2:1-3 KJV] “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.
We want to spend today to understand some of the things that delays the fulfillment of dreams and visions.
The first catalyst of delays are unbelief and negative confessions
Israel revolved round the same mountain for 40 years because of fear, unbelief, and negative confession. When the 10 spies brought an evil report, they murmured in unbelief. “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life but perverseness thereof is a breach in spirit.”
The second is wrong and inappropriate association
The fulfillment of Abraham possessing the promise land was delayed because he came with Lot, instead of coming out alone.
The third is proof of loyalty; God must be sure that you fear Him to release the breakthrough
After Abraham sacrificed Isaac, God said now I know that you fear me… Then He released the blessings.
The fourth is demonic opposition
The prince of Persia withstood the angel that was dispatched to bring answers. You must pray until we breakthrough! This is the time to draw out sword and begin to fight. We must engage in spiritual warfare to release breakthrough!
