[Psalms 90:10-12 KJV] “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. [11]Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. [12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”.
We want to study about securing victory over premature death. What then is premature death? Premature death is dying anytime before 70 years, except in matyrdom.
I believe with all my heart that the Lord will deliver you from accidents, diseases, shame, and disgrace. You shall not die before your time. You will live the full length of your days in peace and in health.
According to the Scriptures, biblical life expectancy is 70 years. None should die before 70 years, except in matyrdom. Premature death therefore is dying anytime before 70 years. 70 is the minimum to expect from God.
The three simple keys to secure victory over premature death are:
Honour your father and mother;
This is the first commandment with a promise. Honouring your father and mother guarantees long life and prosperity.
[Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV]
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. [2] Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) [3] That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. [4] And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”.
Refrain your tongue from evil and your lips from guile;
Don’t speak deceitfully to take anything from anyone. We must not be covetous nor speak with guile. The eyes of the Lord are against those who do evil
[1 Peter 3:10-16 KJV] “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: [11] Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. [12] For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. [13] And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? [14] But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye : and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; [15] But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: [16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ”.
Set your love on God and not on mammon;
Psalm 91:14-16 teaches that the Lord shall deliver us from danger because we have set our love on Him.
[Psalm 91:14-16 KJV] “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. [15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. [16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation“.
On the contrary, those who are eager to get rich and make money shall fall into diverse lust and foolish hurts.
[1 Timothy 6:6-10 KJV] “But godliness with contentment is great gain. [7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. [8] And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. [9] But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”.
These are the three simple key to secure victory over premature death. God will satisfy us with long life and fill our mouths with good things. Anything that represents death in your life is dying now! May death be swallowed up in victory!
You are not permitted to die before your time. You shall not die! Not by the sword of Agag, nor by the rage of Herod. The Lord shall deliver and preserve you! Your mother shall not wail for you! You shall succeed. You mother will see you rise and be content with you as a gift God gave to her.
