“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.” (Jeremiah 51:20-23 KJV)
Today I like to share with you on the need to prepare for war; for the simple reason that you are the battle axe of the Lord.
Every one of us must prepare for war and be ready for a fierce fight. We must be battle ready; ready for warfare anywhere anything, anyhow. You are the battle axe of the Lord.
You are the battle axe of the Lord and His weapons of war. With thee, the Lord shall break nations in pieces. The Lord shall break in pieces the horse and the rider and the chariots. We are the Lord’s weapon of war.
Four types of battles each one of us will fight and must fight:
The good fight of faith:
1 Timothy 6:12 teaches us to fight the good fight of faith. This is fighting for what you have believed. Fighting for the manifestations of the word.
The good fight:
2 Timothy 4:7 teaches that the good fight is the fight to finish your course and to keep the faith. There is a call on every one of us; there is a course for each one to run. Fighting the good is to fight and resist until you finish your course. You should not allow anything to side-track you. Run your race but finish you course. Fight to finish your course and your race.
The great fight of affliction:
Hebrews 10:32 teaches that there are times when you will need to fight the great fight of affliction. I see you breaking through affliction. You will come out and never bow down your head in shame.
Fighting beast after the manner of men:
1 Corinthians 15:32 informs us that the apostles at-times fought beasts after the manner of men. You will fight if need be, and you will win in the name of Jesus.
Three simple steps to prepare are:
- Complete your obedience
- Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might
- Put on the whole armour of God
- Gird up your loins and make up your mind to withstand.
Stay blessed; I love you
