[Acts 2:41-47 KJV] “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
“And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Growth is a partnership between God and men. There is a part men play to move God to do His part. Men sow, men water; then God gives the increase.
No matter how hard you work, increase comes from God. The dimensions of increase however depend on how you invest! The culture that fosters growth are as listed below.
- Testify and invite one person to Christ and to fellwoship every week.
- Continue steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine and don’t miss fellowship.
- Continue steadfastly in prayer and don’t miss communion.
- Labour to give and to serve in the house of God (Acts 20:34-35).
- Continue daily with the brethren with one accord in the temple and from house to house.
- Be content with such as you have and keep the praise alive and active. Godliness with contentment is a great gain!
- Recieve the word with gladness.
I believe these were the things that brought us increase. These are the key qualities of our culture; that is how we enjoyed increase.
I believe as we arise to rekindle these things change will come.
Stay blessed
