[Ezekiel 37:1-10 KJV] “The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord , and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, [2] And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. [3] And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God , thou knowest. [4] Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord . [5] Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: [6] And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord . [7] So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. [8] And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. [9] Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God ; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. [10] So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army”.
Nothing kills a revival more than a beaten down army; a feeling of hopelessness and despair has a way of killing a revival any day, any time. There is therefore the need to exhort each other daily to keep our forces together.
The story of Ezekiel 37 tells about the state of the armies of Israel in the day of battle. They were beaten down and discouraged in the valley of decision. Their bones were dry and all hope was lost, but God sent a prophet to awaken, edify, equip, direct, and empower them.
How then do we rise as a formidable army marching through the land and taking territories for God?
1. Recognize and admit our real situation:
The first step towards solving a problem is recognizing that there is a problem. Ezekiel, in the vision, admitted that the bones were very dry.
2. Be yielded to divine perspectives:
When the Lord asked Ezekiel, whether the bone could live, he yielded to God’s perspectives. We must be smart and quick to discern what God thinks.
3. Speak the word of God to ourselves:
Do not be filled with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Holy Ghost speaking to yourselves in hymns and in psalms (See Ephesians 5:18-19)
4. Allow the word of God which we speak over you to rearrange your lives and recreate the lost components:
The word of God is quick and powerful. It has creative power and has a way of rearranging things in our lives. If you allow the word of God to have a place in your life, it will rearrange and recreate your life.
5. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and breath from the four winds of the earth.
Without the Holy Spirit, we are nothing. Sometimes, wizards are wiser than many deacons and lay ministers; the Bible tells us that when Simon, the sorcerer, saw that on whomsoever the apostle Peter laid his hands on received the holy Spirit, he was willing to part with all he had to get that power. What were the deacons that followed Peter willing to part with to lay hold on that power. Are you desperate and hungry for the ministry of the supernatural?
6. Quit you as men:
Every one of us must determine to arise and arise indeed.
Be blessed, I love you!
