”Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” (Hebrews 12:1-4 KJV)
Success is never an accident! The extent of your success is determined by the build up of your daily habits. Those who succeed work towards it. If you are not committed, you cannot make it. You have to believe in the we and us or you will not make it. There is a destiny we are running after and you must make up your mind to go after it.
All those who succeed do so because they run after something. You must be willing to run in the midst of all the contradictions; things may not be perfect; people will leave and abandon you but you cannot leave you. Stick and stay with you. Stick and run your race with fortitude. The drama may not be as scripted but you can and must play off the cuff.
Three simple steps to make it in life by Jesus Christ are to;
Lay aside every weight and sin that easily beset you:
There are the two key things that will try to stop or slow you down. The weights must go and the sin must go too. These things kill dreams and purposes. Please cast them off. Cast off every weight and sin that easily besets you.
Run with patience the race that is set before you:
Patience is the most important faith attitude that catalyse faith. We are running but this race must be run with patience. We are running but the odds, the delays, the obstacles cannot frustrate us. We have no time to be bitter; people come and go, but purpose is eternal. So run, but run with patience. Prepare and get ready for a long haul.
Look unto Jesus Christ;
He is your example. Jesus Christ is my inspiration. Lies have been told about me, yet Ive made it this far. I have been rejected, but I have made it this far.
When you fix your gaze on Christ Jesus, you will never be wearied by the contradictions of sinners. People will not treat you the way you think you ought to be treated, but if you fix your gaze on Christ Jesus, you will make it far.
You need fortitude to make it to the end.
You cannot slack. You must strive to make it far.
