What is Satan’s agenda for these last days? I want to exhort you on the events that will eventually lead to the climax of all things. We are living at the brink of time, and soon all things will come to an end. The Bible says the heavens will roll away like a mat and the earth will melt with fervent heat. Everything will soon end and you must be ready for the world to come.
These are the last days
Apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17, teaches the church the events that will precede the end of all things. Let us read what he said;
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
The apostle Paul teaches clearly that two things will happen;
- The coming of the Lord
- Our gathering unto Him
He shall come and we will be gathered unto Him. This is what will happen at the rapture, He shall appear and we will meet Him in the air and be with Him, but these things will be preceded by;
1. Massive evangelism and massive fake evangelism:
While the church will gear up and preach massively with signs and wonder; the devil will also send his agents to preach and work lying signs. At first, the devil will try to masquerade that he might deceive many and when it does not work, he will resort to promoting iniquity.
2. Abounding iniquity and the waxing cold of the love of many:
Many people will get offended by the operations and offenses of the mixed multitudes. The Bible says “iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold.” Many will grow spiritually frigid, then there shall be the persecution of the church.
3. Persecution and affliction:
The third event that will take place is the persecution of the church. When the promotion of deceit and inquiry does not work, the devil will resort to persecuting the church. He will try everything to persecution and affliction the church.
He will turn mother against daughter, daughter against mother; father against son, and son against father; the Bible says a man’s enemies shall be the people of his household. This, together with the abounding and glorifying of iniquity, the love of many will wax cold and there shall be a falling away. Remember this is to try the world, don’t fall for it.
4. The falling away and deconverting:
The fourth event that will precede the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is that many shall fall away from the faith. Beware that you are not trapped by the glamourizing of sin and iniquity and the pain of the persecution. You are called to a new life and have a mandate to fulfill. I pray that the Lord will empower us to stand firm and steadfast for Him.
After these things, the Lord shall appear as a thief in the night, we shall be gathered unto Him; then the man of sin shall fully manifest.
“Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
How to stand against Satan’s agenda
It is important to remember that you are called to glory to give thanks. We are not of them that drawback to perdition. Therefore, we must;
- Stand fast
- Hold fast to the traditions which we have been taught; whether we learned it by word or by an epistle. Hold fast to these traditions.
- Trust the Lord who has called us to comfort our hearts, and establish us in every good word and work! Amen!
[2 Thessalonians 2:1-17 KJV] “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.”
Remember, Satan has an agenda to steal kill and destroy, beware!
