“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:31-34 KJV)
One of the greatest enemies of fruitfulness is anxiety or the cares of life. The Bible therefore admonishes us to seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us.
All these things? what are the ‘these things’? What to eat, what to drink, and what to be clothed with. Food, drink, clothing, and shelter are the fundamental needs of life. As we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, God will add unto us food, drink, clothes, and shelter.
The problem in life with many people is that we are running after things that must be following us. We are spending all of our lives pursuing things that must be added to us.
Today the Lord is calling us to that place where we are seeking the kingdom and righteousness of God. Indeed as we seek the kingdom and His righteousness, He will add all the things we need. I don’t know how He will do it but I know He does it.
Let us read and study the text of how God blessed the Egyptian women who feared Him and served His purpose. When we serve the purpose of God, He begins to bless and establish us.
“And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.” (Exodus 1:15-21 KJV)
There is no reason to be afraid. As we serve the purpose of God; He will bless and establish us. You shall never lack! You will walk in a miracle and walk in the blessing.
Stay blessed; I love you!
