Today I want to answer the simple question are soul-ties real? Many people are confused about the reality of the existence of soul-ties. They doubt whether soul ties are real and wonder exactly what it is.
As a matter of fact, I want to state that soul ties are real and they exist. There are many ways in which soul ties are formed. And we need to understand that they are real and exist.
Soul ties are supernatural bonds that may form between two or more souls, flesh, heart, or bodies. It is a supernatural bond that is not that easily broken.
Soul-ties and attachments may be formed through sex, communion, covenant, or a common cause.
In Genesis 34:1-3, we learn that the soul of Shechem, the son of Hamor, cleaved to Dinah the daughter of Jacob after he raped and defiled her. It is important to note that not every sexual encounter leads to the formation of a soul tie, but “he that is joined to a harlot is one flesh with her” [1 Corinthians 6:16-20]. The keyword is ‘joined to‘
I believe with all of my heart that certain types of sexual encounters could lead to the formation of soul ties and attachments. Soul ties may, therefore, be formed through sexual encounters and exchanges.
The second way soul ties are formed is through communication or communion. We learn in 1 Samuel 18:1-3, that “after King Saul had communed with David the soul of Jonathan was knitted to him and he loved him as his own soul.” This happened through dialogue or communication. They talked, and they got attached to each other. That is why it is dangerous to “sit in the seat of the scornful and the counsel of the ungodly and in the way of sinners;” [Psalm 1:1]. As you spend time there, a tie is likely to form and bind you to them.
The third way soul ties are formed is through being provoked by a common cause. In Judges 20:1-12, the soul of Israel was knitted together as one man against Gibeah when some men raped the concubine of a Levite to death. The report of this wickedness triggered spontaneous support which led to the demonstration of love and solidarity for the Levite. There are many times when the resonance of a common cause have led nations and races to rebel and fight for justice and equity. We see the same thing in Colossians 2:1-3.
Finally, soul ties are formed when there is a covenant — blood covenants, salt covenant, or an oath on one’s honour. In 1 Chronicle 12:11-12, David prayed that his heart should be knitted to the children of Benjamin if they had come to help him.
I pray for you and speak over your life that the Lord will deliver you from every kind of soul tie that has become a source of manipulation and control in your life!
I love you!
