Galatians 4:1-2 KJV — Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; [2] but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
I learnt this marvellous truth from the streets today, and my advice for a person starting in the real world will be:
Keep your mouth shut
Silence can never be misquoted. Most people cannot tell who you are until you speak. If you speak too much, you dissipate energy and display your ignorance.
Listen and learn
The scriptures suggest that it’s best to be slow to speak, quick to hear, and judge all things.
Find the greatest in the room and learn from them
The Bible recommends paying a visit to your ant to learn great secrets. There are always people who don’t have half of what you have but are doing great; let’s learn from them.
Find a great mentor and learn
God always brings people our way that we may be taught. A child, though he is the heir of all things, is put under mentors to be groomed. An untaught heir differs nothing from a servant though he may be the master of all things.
The world out there is a wild world. I didn’t know all this when I was starting and I have paid the price. I wish nobody reading this will make the same mistakes. Life is already involving, and to add the load of foolishness and immaturity is too difficult.
Stay blessed
