Today’s Reading:
Matthew 14:22-33
I want to share with you on the theme of walking in the steps faith. There are sure steps of faith that delivers the same results that the early fathers had.

and [that he would be] the [spiritual] father of those circumcised who are not only circumcised, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had before he was circumcised. (Romans 4:12, Amplified Bible)

The Scripture teaches that we are the sons of Abraham and entitled to receive the same blessings when we walk in the same steps of faith.
It’s important therefore to know that walking in the steps of faith compares very much with walking on the sea. It begins with taking the first step by faith. Even if you do not sink on your first step, all the other steps must each be taken in faith, or else you will sink. Our study therefore focuses our thoughts on Peter’s expedition on the sea.
Peter, the disciple that walked on season with Jesus. How was he able to do it? what are the steps of faith and how can we take our own steps of faith? You can walk in the steps of Faith by simply;
1. Striving to imitate the Christ in your pastor:
The path of faith is narrow, and the safest way to tread this path is to be followers of those forerunners. Peter walked on the sea by simply following Christ. As long as his eyes were fixed on Christ, he kept walking on the see.
2. Be students of what your pastor both does and teach:
Focus on following. Following brings transformation. You are changed into the same image you focus on.
3. Just keep walking in the Word you received:
In the school of faith, obedience is supreme. He said “if it is you bid me come” then the Lord said” it is me; come!” That is all, all it takes is keep walking. Can you keep walking in the same Word he gave you?
4. Keep hoping even in the midst of the storm:
Keep taking the same old steps even when the circumstances keep changing. He is with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Keep hoping without fainting. That is how Abraham did it; and that is how you will make it.
Be strong and keep pressing in the steps of faith.
Today’s Prayer
Father I thank You for the gift of my pastor. Please help me to honour him more, to see You clearly in him, and to imitate his steps of faith, in Jesus’ name
Amen!
