I want to exhort you to stop complaining and starting building stamina. Most of the things you are complaining about are meant to prepare you for what is coming.
I stopped complaining long ago. One day the prophet Jeremiah was complaining about the treachery, and God asks him a simple question: “If footmen weary you, how can you run with horses.” If local gossips are making you this worked out; how can you handle bloggers when you hit the limelight.
[Jeremiah 12:1-6 KJV]“Righteous art thou, O Lord , when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?”
“Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.”
“But thou, O Lord , knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.”
“How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.”
“If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?”
“For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.”
Stop complaining, build stamina
The truth is, there are 3 things you can do to survive;
- Don’t fret because of the seeming prosperity of the treacherous
- Don’t trust the treacherous even when they speak with fair words.
- Keep pushing through with passion and power and wisdom; soon your results will speak for you.
I believe that the little afflictions we suffer are doing a work on us to prepare us for the assignment ahead. The things Moses went through between 40 and 80 years were meant to prepare him for life after 80.
I want to exhort you to stop complaining and start building stamina instead. Do not let the seasons of the future take you by surprise. God knows you are well able; do not be caught unawares.
