When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19 KJV)
Reading: Isaiah 59:1-21
I am not too sure what you are going through, but many of God’s children are suffering under that bondage of darkness. Many more have permitted unnecessary sufferings because some so-called prophet convinced them that they must suffer because of their sins, or because of the sins that of their fathers.
Sin, corruption and oppression is the cause of the extreme suffering in the community. Evil reigns and the rights of people are taken away, and no one bats an eye. Today’s reading describes a very gloomy picture of what is happening around.
In Isaiah 59:16, the prophet tells us that many were battered and abused. So, the Lord looked to see whether there was a man that pleaded the cause of the oppressed and maimed and sick and suffering masses, but He found no advocate nor intercessors. Therefore, His arm brought salvation unto Him, and His righteousness sustained Him.
What a word! Many around the world are suffering but no one pleads their case nor intercede for them.
But the Lord says “I will repay the wicked for their wickedness.” The Lord of vengeance is dressing up to defend His own. He is coming to recompense the enemy according to their wickedness. He shall do this by His Spirit.
Then He adds “I will arise on your behalf, and if the enemy shall come, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard” referring to the move of the Spirit
So, what we need now is the mighty move of the Spirit of the Lord. This is the weapon that crushes the enemy that comes. The mighty move of the Spirit of the Lord is what will crush the enemy.
But hear this; the move of the Spirit comes by the Word of God in our mouths. Read the last two verses of Isaiah 59. He said;
And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
(59:21) As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and forever.
This reminds me of Romans 10:6-17. The Word of God that will stir the move of the Spirit is in our mouth, and must remain in our mouths; remain in the mouth of our seeds; and in the mouth of our seed’s seed forever (Referring to our children and our grandchildren)
Glory! Hallelujah!

I am blessed to know that the move of God brings victory over all the attack of the enemy.
Dear Lord, let there be an outpouring of your Spirit.
