The best way to live life is to take it a day at a time. All we have and are guaranteed of is today. We are not guaranteed tomorrow; we must, therefore, live our day as though it is our last. You must always answer the question: what if I don’t live to see tomorrow. Many slept and did not see the morrow!
Don’t be like the rich fool; who when he saw the increase did not think about God nor others. He thought only about himself and that night his life was taken away from him. Let us be as the tortoise; go carrying your casket, knowing that any day could be your last. You are not dying now but you must live ready! Tomorrow is not guaranteed; all we have is today.
[Luke 12:16-21 KJV] “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?”
“And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”
“But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
The Lord is not against planning, but of a certainty, worrying and being anxious won’t change anything. Many of us are not enjoying life because of the fear of the unknown. Many of us are hoarding because of our fear of tomorrow. Many of us are betting our security on our bank account. There is only one thing that matters; my faith in God.
[Matthew 6:34 KJV] “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Take life easy and take it a day at a time; life is nothing but a vapour that appears today and tomorrow is no more.
[James 4:13-16 KJV] “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?”
“It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.”
Listen, even in your prayers, take life easy and a day at a time. Do not carry tomorrow’s burden and worry today! Allow tomorrow to take care of itself!
[Matthew 6:9, 11 KJV] “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Give us this day our daily bread”.
I have no doubt that if you take life a day at a time you will excel. Stay blessed
I love you
