[Revelation 12:7-11 KJV] “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the nightdragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”.
[10] “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death“.
The reality of spiritual warfare going on around us cannot be under-rated. There is a war that is going on around us and that battle seeks to overthrow our faith. The enemy seeks to weaken your conviction in the word of God. He wants you to doubt what God has said. Remember what He did in the Garden of Eden; he began by making Eve question the integrity of what God had said. He began to ask questions.
We know that the thief comes not, except to steal, to kill, and to destroy; he cannot steal or kill or destroy you until he has been able to steal the word from your heart or weakened your convictions. I pray that you shall arise and stand your grounds to fight this enemy off. I pray that you shall engage the weapons of war to defend your faith and to defend the integrity of the word of God.
The Bible tells us that God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. Whatever He has said, He will do it. His word is yea and Amen! His word does not return to Him void. It is, however, important to always remember that your faith is the devil’s main target. He is coming after your faith.
The Lord told Peter, “the enemy has sort to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail”. The devil is always after your faith. He wants to create doubt in your heart and mind in order to steal your victory. Don’t allow an enemy to steal your convictions. I pray that you rather get entrenched and strengthened in your conviction.
One of the most effective weapons against the devil in this regard is the weapon of testifying. When we maintain an attitude of testifying about the goodness and grace of God, we will grow stronger in our faith. The Lord is good and His mercies endure forever. We must endeavour to maintain the testimony of the Lord. There is no God like our God, He is Jehovah. They overcame the enemy by the word of their testimony. You will win the battle over evil when you learn to maintain your testimony and conviction. You will win and not faint. The Lord is nearer than you think; your faith in the integrity of the Lord is your most effective weapon to quench the fiery darts of the enemy.
They overcame in heaven by testifying that the Lord is good; we can also overcome by testifying that the Lord is good. I want to exhort you to testify. As you testify, and as I testify, we can fill the earth with light and grace. I pray that you will win and overcome by light. Receive the victory that overcomes the world! As you testify, you remain loyal and weaken the lies and deception of the devil.
The following are four simple steps to testify to exhort others to believe so that they can also receive their testimony;
- Mention your name and who you are
- Tell us what was wrong with you, for how long, and what you had done about it
- Tell us what you did and how you learned that God can work a miracle for you, and tell us the person that God used to work that miracle
- Finally, tell us what change you have witnessed since.
We learn this from the testimony of the woman with the issues of blood. The Bible tells us the following;
- She was a certain woman; who had been bleeding for 12 years and had spent all her living on physicians.
- When she heard that Jesus Christ was passing she said within herself, “if I may but touch the hem of His garment, I shall be well.”
- She then began to crawl under the people and touched the hem of His garment, and the bleeding ceased.
This is a model testimony. You can also simply testify.
A few months ago, while I was ministering at the HighCity Cathedral, a woman who had been sick for nearly 13 months came to the meeting. She had been to several hospitals and wasted all her money, but was getting no better.
She told us about how she had been so sick since for months and had never been able to carry her 7 months old granddaughter, even though she had come to Accra to help nurse her. She had never been able to even carry her on her laps, ever since she was born.
I was led by the Lord to declare her healed. After prayer, I asked her to go and bring the baby to church since she lived nearby. She did and has since been healed. She now carries her grandbaby to church since then.
It is the same God, get ready for your miracle. The Lord will give you a testimony that will shake nations. Glory to God!
