Power has a central place in Christianity. “The kingdom of God is in power and not in word”. You must get power! You will be too frustrated trying to live this life without power.
The most dangerous people the Bible talks about are people who “have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof.” Their choices make it seem as if it is foolish to wait on God.
If you are a child of God and you want to make it to heaven, stay away from other churchgoers who scorn the power of the faith. Do not give anyone who scorns your faith and what you do for God a second hearing.
[2 Timothy 3:5 KJV] “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
If anybody prefixes his admonishing with the phrase “we are all Christians but…”, remember you are speaking to the devil. Even if this person is a bishop, he is speaking for the devil at that very moment.
If the devil could speak through Peter, then he can speak through anyone. Many have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. These are the most dangerous people to encounter. They have derailed the faith of many people.
Apostle Paul was very emphatic on this truth that the kingdom of God is in power and not in the word. Talk is cheap! Anyone can speak and speak big, but only a few can walk the talk.
I have learned the hard way over the years that it is wise not to trust any man’s words. People can talk; people will make promises; people will swear but only a few will keep their word.
Learn to catch some fire and power.
[1 Corinthians 4:18-20 KJV] “Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
Therefore, I want to share with you three secrets to spiritual power. You need the power to heal the sick, liberate the oppressed, and do good. Christianity without power will end in misery. You must have the power to face evil and devils. You must get power.
The simple secrets to power are:
Building your faith in Jesus Christ:
“To them that believe him, he gave them power to become the sons of God.” (John 1:12)
Your faith in Christ is the secret to the power to become. If you spite the truth He teaches, you will become vulnerable to the whims and caprices of evil and the devil.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Your faith is the foundation of power!
Receiving the Holy Ghost:
The Bible says “you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you.” (Acts 1:8) Let us receive the Holy Ghost. He is the repository of power. The Holy Ghost brings power.
You shall not lack power as long as you allow the Holy Ghost into your life. We need the Holy Ghost.
Thirdly, waiting on God:
The Prophet Isaiah teaches that “God renews the strength of those who wait upon him. He gives power to the weak and weary.” (Isaiah 40:30-31) Let us learn to keep waiting on God. He will renew our strength and give us the power to press on.
I do not doubt that the three simple things that will release power into your life and spirit are Faith, Holy Spirit, andWaiting.
Let us arise and crave for the power to run, as we wait on God. You need the power to run and not be weary. There is so much evil that is trying to fight you.
This is the time to buy into power. What matters is the power you have, not how loudly you speak. What you need is power; the power to run.
Stay blessed
