James 2:20-24 KJV — But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? [21] Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? [22] Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
[23] And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. [24] Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
The simple secret to break out and enter into the promise is to PRAY and PRESS. We see from the above scripture that faith without works is dead; hence the secret to breakout and enter the promise is to pray and press until there is a break.
If faith without works is dead, what is the role of prayer in the school of success? Well, the highest expression of faith is prayer (see Luke 18:1-6). We know that faith comes by hearing but it’s released by prayer and confessions. Coming to God in prayer is the highest expression of the trust we vest in Him. If you really want to breakout, then do these two things; pray and press into it. The Bible says every man is pressing.
If Abraham, the father of faith was justified by works and not only by faith, then you will do yourself a great service by pressing while praying. Neither prayer nor work alone is enough. We must pray as though it all depends on prayer; and work as of it all depends on work.
Stay blessed.
