[Psalms 92:12-15 ASV] “The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green: To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him”
The Bible teaches that those who are planted in the house of the Lord flourish in the courts of our God and bear fruits even in old age. It is, therefore, important to remember that all hell is striving to do is to keep you from ever being planted in the house of the LORD. The devil and all the cohorts of hell know that your ability to flourish and bear fruits depends on being planted in the house, abiding in Christ, and allowing the word of God to abide in you; they are, therefore, striving to keep you from doing that.
On the other hand, however, God, the church and the pastor; though do not have dominion over your faith are able helpers of your joy. We are called and charged to guide you to get planted, connected, and filled with the word of God for flourishing and fruits. Nobody can control you; no one can insist on what you do; we can only preach the word to you; you must make all the decisions to be planted and abide in Christ!
We are helpers of your joy; helping you to come to Christ, experience His power, believe in Him, connect with people who call upon God out of a pure heart, continue steadfastly in the doctrine and fellowship and prayer, give, and volunteer to advance the kingdom. These are the seven-fold things we are striving to help you do with joy. God does want you to serve Him, but He wants you to do it with joy! We are the helpers of your joy, helping you to have a fruitful relationship with God, yourself, and others.
The church is the proverbial mother, whose breast is full of milk to nurture to grow those who are born into the kingdom. The church must be protected and defended and she is being empowered by God to nourish the baby that is born. Let us;
- Pray that God will build His church and the gates of hell should never be able to prevail. (Matthew 18:16-18)
- Pray that we shall all become faithful and complete sold-out members and co-labourers of the building of the church. Pray that if God can use anything, then He should use each of us. We are willing to work with Him; He should work with us. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9)
- Pray that the Lord shall draw men and women to our assembly and touch them at the points of their need. Pray that the power of God shall dwell among us mightily! Pray that there shall be power and grace in the church.
- Pray that the Lord shall sharpen our hearing, that we may hear the voice of the Spirit. We ought to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the church.
- Pray that God shall open great and effectual doors of ministry to us and empower us to possess these doors.
Stay blessed
