Sometimes we wonder why so many miracles took place in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry that doesnt happen now in our lives and on the same scale? Well the big difference here is our attitude towards the anointing and the word.
[fusion_text][Luke 6:17-19 KJV] “And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all”.
In the days of Jesus Christ;
- He waited on God for power
- Those who were touched by the Lord spread the word
- Those who heard about Him came to Him meetings to hear and to be healed
- The power of God was present to heal
The same grace and power which was upon Jesus’s ministry is available today and at work in our ministry. You can tap into it and experience the same dimensions of grace and supernatural.
Prayer
In the days of Jesus Christ, He spent time in prayer and waiting on God the father for the anointing of the Spirit and power. He spent days and nights in waiting for the supernatural and enduement with power from on high.
Spreading the word
His fame was spread abroad because the company of disciples shared the message. They spread the news and told all the communities about what Jesus Christ is doing just like we are doing today and do every week in our church. Even when He told them not to tell any man, they still told everyone. They testified and His fame spread abroad. More miracles will happen when we learn to tell the story and share the goodnews.
[Luke 5:12-17 KJV] “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them”.
Encounter
Those who heard the message like you are hearing right now did not stay at home but they came out to hear and to be healed. They came to hear and to be healed. They did not come to have a special session with the minister; they came to have a special session with the word. When we begin to desire an encounter with the word, the miracles will begin.
Power
As the Lord taught, the power of God was present to heal. They came to hear and to be healed; indeed, He always withdrew to pray and as He preached and taught, the power of God was present to heal them. If we pay attention to the word, the power of God will be present to heal and liberate.
Come and See
