Today, I want to teach on advancing in peace and tranquility. So we’ll be looking at the master keys to living a life of peace and tranquility.
[Philippians 4:4-9 KJV] “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. [5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”
[6] “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.
[8] “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
This text teaches us the simple secrets to advance in peace of heart and mind. We are not in normal times, but we can walk in peace and tranquility.
1. Maintain a joyful heart:
The Bible tells us that “a merry heart does good like medicine”. We must learn to maintain a good heart and a joyful spirit.
2. Be moderate in your expectations:
Don’t expect too much in life or from people. Be open to all possibilities and remember that sometimes, life does not go the way you expect. Don’t expect to wear a $1000 shoe. This is not to say that you should settle for junk, but just be moderate in your demands and expectations in life.
3. Let nothing steal your peace, instead, pray about everything:
There are so many things that will try to steal your peace, like the attitudes and choices of people around you, situations and conditions, bereavement, storms of life, sicknesses, lack, and losses, but just decide to let nothing cause you to panic or become anxious. Just pray and pray about every little thing.
4. Keep your mind on good things:
One of the key weapons of self-destruction is uncontrolled thoughts. We must all strive to tame our thoughts and keep them on good things. This is the master key to advance in peace and tranquility.
5. Do the same things that you have learned, received, heard, and seen in your apostle:
Finally, the greatest secret to prosperity in peace and tranquility is to do what you have learned, seen, received and heard from your pastor. Let us learn to do these things and we shall advance in peace and prosperity.
