[1 Corinthians 16:1-2 KJV] “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.“
Today is Sunday and the first day of the week. This is the day the Lord has made and the day we have chosen to gather to pray, sing, study, fellowship, mobilise resources, and recieve direction for life and missions. This is the day of the Lord! This is the day the Lord conquered death and the grave!
Today is Sunday: get up, dress up, and show up!

I have learnt these lessons about attending church services
- Come and come early! Never miss church, unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Come with your family! If you attend a doctor’s appointment yourself, why should you delegate someone to attend a service for the family.
- Take a place towards the front, leave the back for those who may come late, nursing mothers, and backslidders.
- Be devout
- Help strangers follow the service
- Give a good offering cheerfully; God loves a cheerful giver
- Don’t rush to the door after benediction, fellowship
[Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV] “God bless you and remember to hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.“
Stay blessed
