[Psalm 119:33-40 KJV] “Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight.”
“Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, And not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; And quicken thou me in thy way. Stablish thy word Unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: For thy judgments are good. Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: Quicken me in thy righteousness.“
We all know that righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to every generation. The Bible says that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. We have all sinned and have lost the glory. We are trusting God to turn away our reproach which we fear. May you never fall into shame or disgrace! May God help you to live above reproach and shame.
Let us pray for the grace to live a godly or God kind of life. Pray saying:
- Teach me the way of your statutes oh Lord
- Give me understanding. Remember, not everything can be taught; somethings must be given. Pray that God will give you understanding! When we tecieve understanding we can follow His law whole heartedly.
- Make me go in the path of Thy commandments. Pray that God will employ every situation and circumstances to make you go in His way.
- Inclined my heart unto Your testimony rather than covetousness; turn my eyes from beholding vanity. Pray!
- Pray that God will quicken us in the way and in righteousness; may He stablish His word in us and turn away the reproach we fear. Pray for God to quicken, prepare and protect you. Pray!
