3 Steps to Facing Uncertainties with Steadfast Hope

“And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.  And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,  Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:  And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,  Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.  And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:  Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me” (Acts 20:17-23 KJV)

There are some situations and circumstances in life that make all of us come face to face with some uncertainties.

This could even take the form of a negative medical diagnosis. When the physician hands in that report, many of us are so unsure of what the implications are and we face the next days with uncertainties.

Many people are unsure of what tomorrow holds, they are unsure of how their children will turn out in future, or of what the new job engagements would bring.

This picture I have painted applies to both opportunities and adversities. They are both full of uncertainties, but it is possible to face the unknown with much strength and hope.

The life of apostle Paul reveals that we can face the unknown with a lot of hope. Please note that this has very little to do with your anointing or how much you know God. Everybody can apply these keys.

Now to face the unknown with steadfastness and deep aspirations would require that you;

1. Live today loving God and living according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28 teaches that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose (See Romans 8:28). We may not be sure of what tomorrow holds but as we live our lives loving God and living according to His purpose, all things will work together to our good.

2. Continue to thank God for His faithfulness in the past.

We may not know what tomorrow would bring but we can remain steadfast as we thank God for His faithfulness in the past. Because we know he is the same yesterday, today and forever (See Hebrews 13:8). He is faithful. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will continue with us whether we are walking through the dark or through the light.

3. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst by building yourself on your most holy faith.

You can master uncertainty by building up yourself on your most holy faith through Word study and prayer and fasting. By faith, prayer, and fasting you can move every mountain and break through every resistance to see God’s best.

Today’s Prayer
