The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, is full of grace and truth. Indeed by Him, Jesus Christ, we receive grace for grace. We receive grace for the grace to live life. Jesus Christ did not come just to tell us the truth, but also to give us the grace to walk in the truth. I pray that you will receive the grace to walk in the truth you know.
[John 1:14-17 KJV] “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ”.
It is not enough to hear, learn or even know the truth. Knowing truth without the grace to obey and walk in it will lead to frustration. Jesus Christ therefore teaches the truth and gives grace.
Romans 9:10-16 teaches that this grace for grace is free, by election, and calling and not by works. The Bible tells us that “it is not of him that runs nor of him that wills but it is the Lord that shows mercy and compassion”. It is the Lord that determines who he will favour and show kindness to. Grace comes for grace. This grace is unmerited favour. God gives it to those He calls to compensate for their shortfalls and weaknesses. Your shortfalls will not stop, but don’t continue in sin because it is your obedience that will be rewarded.
Romans 5:1-2, teaches that we have access to this grace by faith through Jesus Christ. You can access this grace by faith in Jesus Christ. Your faith gives you access; you will never lack grace.
I pray for you that you will abound in the six dimensions of grace: the graces of faith, utterance, knowledge, diligence in all things, esteeming your pastors highly in love, and giving.
Through Jesus Christ, we receive grace for grace; through the word we receive grace for grace. We can receive grace for the grace of God (See 2 Corinthians 8:1-7). You will not miss your season of increase and fruitfulness when you learn to;
- Listen by the word and by the hearing of faith
- Speak by the spirit of God, seasoned by grace
- Give attendance to reading, exhortation, and doctrine
- Become diligent with all we do
- Esteem our pastors highly in love
- Abound in the grace of giving
God will never tell you to do anything that He will not grace you to do. He gives grace to those whom He calls to compensate for their weaknesses and shortfalls; but you will not achieve much unless you are willing to labour exceeding above them all. (See 1 Corinthians 15:10)
You cannot sleep under grace; you must work hard and labour abundantly. It takes abundant labour under abundant grace to get over-and-above results. May the Lord help you to move forward and upward faster!
Be blessed; I love you!
