[2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV]“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”
“casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
The Bible teaches that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. That is to say that there is so much that goes on around us and we must not look at it from a fleshy perspective. We must all understand that we are fighting against things that are higher than the flesh.
We must, therefore, face life from a spiritual perspective! We must not allow the carnal cravings of life to affect our outlook. We must decide to walk in life with a supernatural understanding.
The Bible teaches that when thoughts and imaginations occur to you, don’t think that it is your mind. Many of these thoughts and imaginations are influenced by spiritual forces and you must master them. The feeling to break free and go away from your father and the person of authority may not be natural but supernatural and you must master it.
We must be ready to walk by spiritual understanding. Life is more spiritual than natural. You must be more spiritually minded if you want to win in life. “To be carnally minded is death, to be spiritually minded is life and peace!” You must be spiritually minded if you want peace and life.
We must all strive to be made quick in understanding by the Spirit. (See Isaiah 11:1-5) You can do better in life if you do not judge after the sight nor hearing nor feelings. You will do better in life when you become less emotional. You must refuse to act just because you are angry or sad or disappointed. You must become more like Jesus who will judge by righteousness and deeper discerning.
[Isaiah 11:1-5 KJV]“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: and the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;”
“and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD : and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: but with righteousness shall he judge the poor,”
“and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.”
We know that we have been given authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy that seeks to hurt us. We can win and we must win. Jesus has given us the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions!
[Luke 10:19-20 KJV]“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
Now, if we can win the battle against the invisible enemy, then we must;
1. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might:
We must build ourselves on our most holy faith. We must decide to build up ourselves in faith and praying in the Holy Ghost. You can’t be timid and slack. You must be strong. Weaklings don’t win in this battle!
2. Arm ourselves with the whole armour of God and a decision to stand and withstand in the evil day:
Arm yourselves with salvation, righteousness, truth, readiness to preach the gospel, faith, and the word of God. Are you saved? Do you know the truth and the word of God? Can you believe? Are you ready to proclaim the word? Are you ready to do what is Christ-like and equitable? These are the master keys to win the war.
3. Pray with all prayer and supplication in the spirit; watching with all perseverance for all the saints and for us:
Prayer is what it takes to win the real war. We must be ready to fight in the real battle. We must pray in the Spirit and with the Spirit. This is how we win. The battle is fierce and we must win. We must and will win by prayer and supplication and watchfulness with perseverance!
[Ephesians 6:10-20 KJV]“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places .”
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;”
“and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
“and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
You will win and cannot fail!
Stay blessed
