What it Takes to be Saved and Stay Safe!

[Acts 16:30‭-‬31 KJV] “and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.“

I want to speak today about the greatest need of all men and what it takes to meet that need! Every one of us, when we come face to face with death, will see how useless it is to crave and chase after things. When you come face to face with death, nothing matters except your soul. That is why people who come face to face with death don’t fight for anything but their life and souls.

Every one of us wants to be saved. We want to be saved from three key things: eternal death, oppression of darkness, and effects or consequences of sin. Everyone wants to escape eternal death, oppression, and the effects of sin on us. Nobody wants to be oppressed and troubled by sickness, poverty, scarcity, or failure.

So, six simple actions that can save and help you to stay safe are;

1. Believing the gospel:

The gospel is the power of God to save the world. In Roman 1:16, Apostle Paul states that the gospel is the power of God. In 1 Corinthians 1:18-21, we understand that God has chosen the preaching of the gospel to save the world. As we preach, it is my desire that many will be saved.

What it takes to be saved and stay safe

2. Interceding for all men:

1 Timothy 2:1-4 teaches that first of all, we should pray for men. The Apostle John taught that we should Intercede for those we find in sin. He says if you see a brother sin a sin that is not unto death; pray for him (See 1 John 5:16-18).

3. Heeding to Counsel:

In a multitude of counsellors, there is safety. The safest way to live is to heed godly counsel. Most often than not, God put in our lives counsellors whose wise and godly counsel can deliver us from danger and guide us in the way. “In a multitude of counsellors, there is safety”.

4. Applying the blood:

In Revelation 12:11, the Bible teaches that they overcame by the blood of the Lamb. The blood of Jesus Christ that was spilt at Calvary is that greatest input to keeping you safe. Each of us must learn how to apply the blood to be safe. He said, “when I see the blood, I will pass over you.” The blood is one of the key things that brings safety.

5. Calling upon the name of Jesus!:

Acts 4:12 reveals that there is “no name given under heaven among men that can save any man”. Only the name of Jesus has that power to save. The Bible teaches that “the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are safe”. We have refuge in the name of Jesus Christ! We find safety in the name. Our redemption is in the name.

6. Learning to be Meek:

Psalm 149:4 teaches that “the Lord will clothe the meek with salvation.” Let us learn to be humble and stay meek, and He will clothe us with salvation. Your meekness guarantees your salvation.

I have no doubt that the Son of God who came to seek and to save the lost shall find you. You will be saved and you will be safe.

Stay blessed

    Not going to be a critique or anything. But, I don’t believe you can get saved by being meek. Wouldn’t that be a work? The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” that verse is still in the Bible and the King James Bible is 100% true. I’m just saying that it sounds like you are trying to say you can get saved by being meek (works). And, it’s only by the blood of Jesus that we can be saved. If it was through meekness 1. not as many people would be saved since everyone can because everyone has flesh that can become prideful, 2. why would Jesus have died on the cross? If we can be saved by being meek? This is not meant to harm and/or offend anyone, so please do not get offended by this, it is just to show you what you make it out to be.

    Hello JJ,

    God bless you for your comment, and forb

    I think you misunderstand the point of this message by Rev. Simpe. You see this message is teaching you how to be saved, and HOW TO STAY SAVED. What many people are confusing is the how-to stay saved part. We tend to think that just because, we are saved by faith, it means we make it only by saved. If this were true, the Bible would have only one topic and that would be faith. But Rev. Simpe is showing you how to continue beyond being born again to staying saved all your life until you go to be with the Lord. And you will need humility and meekness among the other keys taught in this message to be able to do this.

    Without air, none of us can live beyond an hour, yet think of how it would sound if I say the only thing you need to be alive is air. You see, there are other things which are equally as essential as air, like food, water, even clothing, cos without proper clothing, the weather elements like cold, heat, and external stuff like parasites will have free access to our bodies, and we will still die “after some time (even if it’s more than an hour).

    If I want to become a US Citizen and live there, I need a US VISA, and a plane ticket, to travel there, and I need to be offered legal citizenship. But I need more than these things to be able to live successfully in the US. I’ll need a basic understanding of my rights and responsibilities as a citizen or else I could get arrested, and spend my days in. US jail instead, I would also need a job to make some money and take care of my needs. So you see. It is one thing to become a citizen of heaven, and another thing to continue in life as a citizen of Heaven.

    This is why Jesus said;

    [John 3:3,5 KJVS]
    “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”

    Notice the Scripture that Rev. Simpe has quoted from Psalms. It says God will clothe the humble with Salvation.

    Look at what Apostle Peter taught;

    2 Peter 1:4-8 KJVS
    Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. [5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    You might say, this is only talking about fruitfulness, until you realise that the unfruitful shall be cut off,

    Rev. Simpe is teaching you how you can make it and not miss heaven, and it goes beyond believing…

    Read this; Luke 13:6-9 KJVS
    He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. [7] Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? [8] And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it : [9] And if it bear fruit, well : and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

    Rev. Simpe has a lot of messages on bearing fruits as a Christian. You can use the search bar on this page to search for “bearing fruits”, to read more… In fact, Rev. Simpe’s whole teaching ministry seeks to address this very issue on how to make it to the end. You can watch his videos on YouTube, just search for Simpe Bediako
