Hunger is a strong craving or need for food or nutrients. Today, I want to exhort you on the need to hunger and thirst after righteousness.
[Matthew 5:6 KJV] “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Indeed, those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled with the capacity to fulfill it. When you truly have a strong craving to do what is right by faith, God will give you the supply of grace and ability to do what you crave — “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, they shall be filled:”
I believe the first step to doing anything is to have the craving or desire for that thing. When we are really desiring it, we receive the supply to perform it. God is gracious enough to supply the things we need in order to perform what is required of us.
My prayer for you today is to be able to find that strong craving for what is right. If you truly want to do it, God will give you the grace to perform it. It is so difficult to do right by faith if you are not really hungry for it. But it is so easy to be helped to do what is right if you are willing and ready for it.
May the Lord help you and fill you with the ability to do right by faith!
