To call upon is the Lord is to look up to Him for help and direction. It is to seek His strength and favour; and it is one of the wisest things to do.
[Jeremiah 33:1-3 KJV] “Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying, Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
I want to exhort you today to call unto the Lord daily. Even though you seem to be making ends meet and you are having some kind of success; there is much more you could both escape and do if you knew some of the things you don’t know.
Honestly, there is more to life than we all can see. Even prophets know in part and prophesy in part. The truth is that God reveals much more to those who want to know. To those who show that they want to hear and know and see, God reveals more to them.
The simple secret, therefore, to walk in higher knowledge and revelation is to call daily upon the Lord. He said in His word that He will show great and mighty things to those who call upon Him. To those who come to Him for help and favour; He will show more to them.
Make calling unto God a habit.
“The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much; it makes tremendous power available.”
Let us form the habit of praying and praying fervently.
Pray at all times:
Pray in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. In the night let your song rise to Him.
Call unto Him on a good day and a bad day.
Call unto Him when all is well and when nothing is well. Call unto Him when you think you need Him and call when you don’t need Him.
Call unto the Lord through all the changing scenes of life. Call in times of joy, and pain. Let the name of the Lord be in your mouth.
Call unto the Lord on your bed, in your office, at church, and at home:
Call unto Him while you pacing up and down, call while you sit still, call when you are lying down, and call when you are washing.
Call unto the Lord wherever you are;
When you are alone, with family, with friends, in public, or in private. Call alone, call with friends and family, call unto the Lord both in private and public. Just call! Make time and call!
I pray that you will receive the grace to call unto the Lord. You will be instant in season and out of season. May the Lord help us to pray without ceasing! You will not fail! God is our helper.
Stay blessed, I love you
