[1 Samuel 2:9 KJV] “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail”.
On the day that Hannah and her husband, Elkannah, went to dedicated Samuel, Hannah sung a song; Some lines in the song fascinates me. She sung and said, “by strength shall no man prevail”. Hannah was singing about how she recieved her miracle and breakthrough, and she sings clearly that she did not get it by strength.
We all know how Hannah get her breakthrough and miracle. She got it on her knees, in private prayer, in the early morning meeting in the church. She went into the temple to pray.
We know that women sometimes we have many strengths and advantages in life, but things still don’t work out the way they should. Hannah was beautiful, Hannah was the first wife, Hannah was loved by her husband; yet Hannah had no children and felt very sorrowful. But Hannah’s life began to change when she got on her knees. Sometimes women argue, they quarrel, and starve their husbands, or even insult them; but that never solves anything; You must get down on your knees and win the war in prayer first.
The greatest strength of a godly woman is prayer. As you pray, you walk into the fullness of God’s abundance for your life. I pray that you will have a prayer life. I pray that you will live a life dedicated to pray. We can and must win the battle in prayer.
You can win and win convincingly by the following keys;
1. Learn to come to church early and always:
You don’t need to wait for your husband. Most often, the men are tired. The husbands are often stressed and hurt; you must arise and fight for them and for your children.
2. Learn to come to church to seek God and not to meet the pastor:
Our pastors are important, we love our pastor. Just as my wife, Pastor Sandra, would say, “I know many of you love my husband, I am grateful that you love him, he is a good man; but don’t come to church to meet him. Come to church to have an encounter with Jesus, so that you might recieve grace and truth“. Grace for salvation and truth for guidance. Hannah did not come to meet the priest, Eli, Hannah came to seek God.
3. Learn to pray sincere prayers when you come;
Hannah cried her heart out when she came. She prayed as a woman with sorrow. She poured out her heart. She was not ashamed to express herself and emotion in prayer. She prayed and prayed without mincing words
4. Learn to open up to your pastor;
There are times when what the pastor thinks about you is not right, still open up to him. Our pastor is our guide, he can counsel and guide us. Interact with your pastor. Though the pastor called Hannah a daughter of belial, she did not get angry. She spoke to the pastor. She told the pastor what was going on.
5. Learn to do what you must do after the prayer meeting;
Hannah went home and did what she had to do to yield the miracle. Hannah went home and took the benediction personal. Eli said, “may the Lord remember you”, and Hannah took it personal and began acting on the word. Take the benediction personal and work on it through the think and thin. Hope, even against hope. Press on by prayer.
6. Finally remember your vows and redeem them;
Don’t be ungrateful, return to redeem your vows. Hannah brought Samuel to God as she had vowed. As humans, we have a tendency to forget and be ungrateful, but sharing your testimony and redeeming your vows are important.
May the Good Lord break your adversary in pieces! May the Almighty remember each of us this year! May your efforts yield positive and desired result! May the Lord be with you! Be blessed!
I love you;
