[2 Corinthians 10:3-4 KJV] “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”
As we step out to do the first works with first, we must remember that we are at war. I, therefore, want to exhort you on the need to prepare for war. The scriptures teach that “though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh;” Indeed, we are at war with the flesh, the world and the devils. The war is within, without, and withal. We are standing in the midst of a raging battle and each one of us must be trained and equipped for the battle. My assignment is to awaken and train you for the warfare, and God’s part is to give you what it takes to win.
God is committed to giving you:
1. Power over serpents, and scorpions, and over every power of the enemy:
Luke 10:19 assures us that Jesus Christ has given us power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy. You receive that power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you. That power is given and is available for us to use.
2. A mouth and wisdom that your adversary cannot gainsay or resist:
Luke 21:15 teaches that God will give us a mouth and wisdom that the adversary and the world cannot gainsay or resist.
3. His angels charge over you:
Luke 4: 10 teaches that God has given His Angel’s charge over us to keep us. We have angels to keep us, that is why we shall not be afraid.
4. The armour of God:
Ephesians 6:10-18 informs us that we have the whole armour of God. All you have to do is to put it on. You must wear the armour of the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, the shield of faith, the shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace. God has given us the whole armour and the spirit of prayer and watchfulness.
We lack nothing in this war. All we have to do is to keep fighting and winning.
We must resist the enemy steadfastly in the faith and he will flee from us (See 1 Peter 5:8-9).
We must arise to pray with all prayers and supplications and watchings in the Spirit with perseverance for all the saints (See Ephesians 6:10-18).
We must be will to overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony; without the fear of losing our very lives (See Revelation 12, reading from verse 11)
I pray that in the coming days each one of us shall awaken and be trained and equipped to be combat-ready. You will arise and punish all forms of disobedience.
Be blessed, I love you!
Kofi Simpe
